Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)
What is Social and Emotional Learning?
Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is the process through which children, teens and adults develop the skills to understand, manage and express the social and emotional aspects of one’s life to enable the successful management of tasks such as establishing positive relationships, making responsible decisions, and demonstrating care and concern for others. SEL is fundamental to children’s social and emotional development – their health, citizenship, academic learning, ethical development, and motivation to succeed.
