Waiting for Normal – Keeping up with Change as a Media Specialist
Over 70 DuPage county media specialists gathered on April 19th for a day of sharing, networking, and collaboration. The Center for Professional Learning in Lombard was the location for this event. 21st century learning was the focus with sessions ranging from Web 2.0 tools, technology infused literacy ideas to SMART boards and Google Literature trips.
Feedback from the event included
comments such as, “Great information…I
can use immediately!” “Content presented
by people “in the trenches”; topics very
interesting and practical; all sessions
were very well done and well planned!”
“Best features – new technology and how it can be used
directly with students.”
Throughout the day, K-12 media specialists and librarians
shared ideas and worked on lessons designed to provide students
with communication and research tools they need to succeed in
school and the workplace.
