NAES Graduation Celebration!
 Dr. Lourdes Ferrer of the DuPage ROE Equity and Excellence Department joined in the celebration on May 5, 2010, as West Chicago School District #33 hosted its Third Annual District-wide NAES Graduation ceremony for parents. Through the DuPage ROE, Dr. Ferrer led provided critical training in the program: NAES, Navigating the American Education System.
The purpose of the seminars is to empower parents and encourage them to become more involved in school activities.Parents received a certificate for their participation and were then encouraged to join the Bilingual Parent Advisory Council the following year. The NAES graduation had over 570 people in attendance with over 250 parents go through the NAES training.
