DuPage ROE Partnership with workNet DuPage and WIA Equals Students’ Successes!
The DuPage ROE recently celebrated with students and families the successful GED completion of students enrolled in the Alternative Learning Opportunity Program (ALOP). The ALOP program is coordinated in partnership with workNet DuPage, with funds provided through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA). Students in the program come from the DuPage area High Schools, many at the time of enrollment at-risk of dropping out of school. Through the support of the instructional staff at the ALOP program, over 70 students this past school year have completed their GED, with many either currently continuing their education at COD or employed full time in the community. Congratulations to the students and their families, and our thanks to workNet DuPage and the wonderful staff at the ROE ALOP!
